Details of Woodpecker
Outside my window is a 50 year old damson tree. On it I have various bird feeders.
The usual garden birds come to the nuts and fat balls, and in 2021 and 2022, first one woodpecker, then two, then their progeny, came to visit.
The window faces east, so except for a few minutes each day the birds are in silhouette.
I was very fortunate one day in 2022 to have my camera to hand, and a shaft of sunlight on a feeding woodpecker!
From the resulting photograph I have made a jigsaw linocut in two colours which has resulted in a rather nice A4 linoprint.
