The White Horse

‘They do say, the Wise Ones, That all eternity, is contained in the white waved lines ‘tween the sea shore and the sea.’

During our honeymoon on Hestan Island in the Solway Firth (hence our Press name), Frances was inspired to write a poem about “The White Horse” which she imagined to gallop “the white line ‘tween the seashore and the sea”. It was some years later (1970) that she finally put pen to paper and this beautiful but moving poem was the result.

It has been reprinted many times. It is letterpress printed in black, with page decorations of waves, as an A6 poetry card of 4 pages, and is one of our best sellers.
